Booting / auto repair loop!

I’ve been trying to boot up my desktop. The last time I used it it booted up fine but this time the booting is infinite and so it preparing automatic updates. I don’t see what went wrong in like 3 days!

Try and boot into the Recovery Console and run a System Restore from the command prompt.

If the above fails then we can try and repair it with the Windows Boot Cd or Falcon Boot Cd.

Download the Ultimate Boot CD for windows.
You may also use the Falcon Boot Disk.

Unless there is a way to do that from the screen before the loading screen i can’t get into that.

Have you got another machine that you can burn a cd and perhaps a USB with? I’ve edited my original instrutions.

Your best bet at this point may be to use the Falcon boot disk or the Ultimate Boot cd to try and get the machine booting. Or an iso image of windows 10:

I would personally try system restore 3 times in a row.
Then try startup repair four times in a row, if system restore does not work.
For some reason when startup repair is run multiple times it will work.
It may take a while, but effective in multiple runs.
Most people give up after one go at it, patience is key when dealing with these types of issues.

not sure where you are up to with your trouble-shooting, but in case you need it, to get into the Advanced Startup Recovery menu, as soon as you see the Windows splash screen, hold in the power button to force a shutdown, repeat this 3 or 4 times and eventually it’ll boot you straight to the ASR menu where you can do a Safe Mode reboot, or stuff like a Restore Point reload as suggested in the 2nd post.
