My desktop froze up on me. I forced shut off. When I turned it back on I just get a black screen. No cursor, no visuals whatsoever, no beepsโฆnothingโฆ I tried the 3 start and f8 methods I read about online and no results. Any ideas on what I can do?

It could be your video card has failed.. When you are referring to those beeps,do you mean the mobo beep?

did the PC ever beep at startup?
if it did, it would have been one beep every time.
and when you tried the 3 reboot attempts and F8, what was the outcome? anything on the screen?

So it turns out Iโm a dummy and didnโt check the monitor first. Unplugged the monitor, plugged it back in and itโs all good now. Thanks!Comment
