Changing File Type Views in Explorer

I have many, many photo and video files separated into many subfolders. Iโ€™d like to change all of certain types of files to a different view: all video files to extra large icons, for instance. The trouble is, I donโ€™t want to change the icon for the subfolders theyโ€™re contained in themselves to extra large icons. (I know, itโ€™s really nitpicky and particular.)

Is there any way to do a mass change to the view option for all of a certain file type without having to go in and change the view option on hundreds of subfolders individually? Thanks!

This feature doesnโ€™t exist since it would break on a folder with mixed file types. You have to change them individually.

Ctrl + Mouse Wheel is the fastest way to edit view types.

Have a look at these, if I understand you correctly?

Learn how to set & apply the same view settings of the current folder, as the default, for all other folders in Windows 11/10, using the same folder template type.

No, thatโ€™s what I want to avoid. I donโ€™t want to set the change to all folders, only all of certain types of files without having to change the size of icon for the folder itself.

I know what youโ€™re trying to achieve. As I said, unfortunately, such a feature doesnโ€™t exist.
