What is the file extensions of the files you are trying to burn.

Never used image burn, but Mr Google suggests, from THIS site

How to burn pictures to a CD or DVD using ImgBurn

      1. Insert a blank CD or DVD into the CD/DVD burner drive of your PC.

      2. Open ImgBurn.

      3. Click on Write files/folders to disc.

      4. Click on File located at the top left and choose between:
      [ul]
[li]Browse for a source file if you want to add pictures[/li][li]Browse for a source folder if you want to add folders that contain pictures[/li][/ul]
      5. Go to the location on your computer where the pictures or folders are stored you want to burn to a CD or DVD.

      6. Select all the pictures or folders and click on Open (files) or click on Select Folder (folders). You can select all photos or folders at once by pressing the [CTRL] + [A] keys on your keyboard.

      7. Click on the [folder ⇨ disc] button.

ImgBurn will now burn your photos to a CD or DVD.

With Windows 7, 8, or 10 you dont need any additional apps to burn DVD’s

Again suggest you use Ashampoo burning studio, it will do what you want, again, much easier. The link is above

How do I find this out please?

I think I’ll try Ashampoo as I have that as well.

Open file explorer, navigate to wherever your picture files are, and look at the extensions…

No problems, now follow the instructions in the link above for Ashampoo to burn the files to DVD.

TIP: to play your newly burned disc in a normal household dvd player, you will usually have to finalize it. Select that option in the Ashampoo options.

Instead of me starting a new thread, I thought I would give an update on here.

I burnt off some photo files of my Devon trip last septemberonto a Virbitim DVD-R and I had the finalise tab on. I then tried to play them in my dads Sony DVD player. A message came up saying data error (photo) and monotonouse piano music started playing. Some of the photo’s work, but the majority of them were just a black screen with this message. I’ve saved them as Jpegs, at the beginning.

When I put the disk in, there was a yellow folder saying β€˜root folder’ should I have clicked on this? And what does data error (photo) mean? Thanks.
