Cannot run DVD

on windows 10 PC using VLC latest version media player; get error messages: "
VLC is unable to open the MRL ‘dvd:///D:/’. Check the log for details.

Have you tried this DVD in another player?
Has this DVD played in this system before the software update?
Uninstall VLC and Re-install you should also re-download the install file in case it is the cause.

Yes, the DVD works in another player; it did not work before the update; I uninstalled and reinstalled the VLC; still doesn’t work.

What is the make and model of the DVD player?

May be in a format that VLC can not read.
