CPU and its monitor not communicating, no input detected but hear me out

Okay, so I came back yesterday and switched on my computer, only to find the monitor displayed nothing.

The monitor works fine, i’ve tested its cable and output with another device and all is working fine.

My computer is where i think the problem is. The thing is, the cpu is running fine. I plugged an hdmi cable to my television and confirmed that. In fact, i am writing this thread through my computer hooked up to my TV.

So the problem is that the computer just suddenly stopped working with my monitor, which i’ve been using for over a year now.

My system restore points all do not work, that might have been a poor backup on my part.

I did update my graphics driver (AMD Radeon RX480) a while back, maybe a week ago. I’ve since tried to uninstall or rollback but that did not solve the issue.

What should I do next? Heres what I did already:
updated my graphics driver, reinstalled my graphics driver
powered off my cpu, unplugged the power cable, held down power button to β€œflush” all electricity and did reboot
    Nothing worked so far..

    Hello

Can you try another display? Or check the one you have on another pc?

Ok it appears if the hdmi output works then the graphics card may have an issue with whatever card port you are using. If your pc has onboard graphics why not remove your video card from the computer, connect the monitor to the onboard graphics port and reboot. If all is ok then, it’s either a bad card or driver.

BTW, it would be advantageous to STOP windows from downloading drivers too as there have been problems before with Windows 10 and graphics card drivers. Also only get drivers from the hardware manufacturer, and never Windows.
