    WD Mycloud NAS drive desktop Icon

    I have rebooted my W10 PC back to factory settings which also meant re-configuring my 4TB WD Mycloud NAS Drive. However I cannot recall how to show the NAS drive as an icon on the THIS PC screen alongside my other HDD drives. Before resetting the PC the NAS Drive icon appeared and I literally dragged and dropped files I wanted to store on the drive. Can anyone refresh my memory or offer advice on how to achieve this. THANKS

    Open notepad & enter:
    [AutoRun]
    label=WD Mycloud
    ICON=WD.ico
    And save it as autorun.inf
    Change the icon name to the .ico file you wish to use & place icon within the WD my cloud drive.

      Thanks for the info, im a little confused on the last command, do i simply download an image (jpeg/png etc etc ) of the WD drive or logo of my choice, then rename it as WD.ico, then place it into the NAS drive.

          No you’d have to find an .ico file as I’ve tried changing the .jpg extention to .ico & it didn’t work. I have .ico creating software so if you can only find a Western Digital .jpg I’d be happy to convert it for you.
          You can name it anything, I just used WD.ico for ease of replying, however you’d also have to change the entry within the autorun text to the name you choose.
          Yes it goes along with the autorun.inf file.
