Windows 10 software corruption I now have the new reinstalled files and my old files.

So to clarify currently my windows 10 had an update that corrupted my whole computer so I had to get a usb and reinstall windows, This though now leaves me with a massive problem with having my new files and my old files. The new files being in my data drive and my old files being in my c drive, should i try to combine the two or just move onto the new files and work my way from there. As of current i am also experiencing many a problem the only true major one being that i have no sound as well it may be due to sound recon 3di files being all messed up. I should also mention this is an alien ware r2 laptop. So if anybody has any suggestions or possible solutions please help me out here. I have also recently installed office 365 and it installed into my new window files in my data drive.

You could move your files to an external drive and wipe the drive and re-install from scratch.

I mean more or less the new files in my data are the fresh files, what I’m wondering is if I should combine them with my old files or should I just delete my old files and replace them with the new ones. Maybe just saving the files I want to keep such as steam and the like.

Replace then with the new ones. If you backed up your Documents, Photos, etc to OneDrive you’ll be OK

Yeah that’s more or less the plan now I got the audio to work by rolling back a driver so now I’m just gonna go through and transfer docs and game files .
