    Newely Built Pc Keeps Freezing

Around 2 and a half months ago I built myself a gaming PC and had no issues with anything up until around 2 or three weeks ago, which is when my PC started to freeze and Everytime I logged into my PC it would freeze after a few seconds and sometimes after a few minutes after I had installed Adobe creative cloud, and when I uninstalled it and updated my nvdia graphics driver it stopped up until yesterday, when I downloaded and launched a game on steam, scp secret labratory. This issue has continued and will not stop, I reset my computer and reinstalled windows but kept my personal files, and installed discord, chrome, and steam again. It seemed promising, but after around 2 hours it just froze again while I was watching a YouTube video.

    My PC specs are

    Os - windows 10 pro
    Motherboard - msi tomahawk b350
    processor - AMD ryzen 5 1600
    Ram - 2x4gb ddr4-2666 ballistix
graphics card - nvdia msi gtx 1070 ti Duke
hard drive - wd blue 1tb
    Power supply - EVGA 550 b3 bronze

I am also using the razor death addor mouse and razor cynosa chroma keyboard which I thought might be causing some issues also.

Hi there @Sharquake and welcome to PCHF

Please download MiniToolBox and save it to your desktop. Run the program by right clicking on it and selecting Run as administrator. When the program opens select the following boxes:

List last 10 Event Viewer Errors
    List Installed Programs
    List Devices (Only Problems)
List Users, Partitions and Memory size

Please post the log in your next reply

Please go HERE and download the portable version of Speccy. Save it to somewhere you can find, locate the file and as it comes as a Zip file use your favorite unzip application to decompress it. Open the newly created folder and double left click Speccy.exe if you have a 32 bit system or Speccy64.exe if yours is 64bit. If you are not sure what your system is click HERE.

Now that your link has been copied please paste it into your next post. It should look something like the example below

BTW: once you have finished with speccy and no longer want it removing it is easy because it is a portable app with no install. Simply delete the downloaded file and folder you created when you decompressed it. Gone:thumbsup:

Everything looks OK. Let’s test your hardware.

Let’s test your RAM to ensure your RAM is OK

        [ul]
[li]Click Start, type mdsched.exe in the Search box, and then press Enter.[/li][li]Choose whether to restart the computer and run the tool immediately or schedule the tool to run at the next restart.[/li][li]Windows Memory Diagnostics runs automatically after the computer restarts and performs a standard memory test automatically. If you want to perform fewer or more tests, press F1, use the Up and Down arrow keys to set the Test Mix as Basic, Standard, or Extended, and then press F10 to apply the desired settings and resume testing.[/li][li]When testing is completed, the computer restarts automatically. You’ll see the test results when you log on.[/li][/ul]

It keeps freezing during the scan? Not good.

Let’s stress test your GPU. Download Furmark and install it. After installation, run it and select GPU Stress Test. Let it run for about 30 minutes or so. If it errors out, reboots the computer, or shuts the computer down, your GPU is failing. Let us know the results

I will try it, but I might not even be able to start the download, the freezing has consistently been getting worse

It sounds like your Hard drive might be bad. if it’s freezing like this, it’s most likely the HD.

If it’s a new HD, it might be defective. I’d check the connections first and if all else fails, the drive might be defective. I’ve seen all computer parts defective, brand new.

Okay so it’s been a few days and I got a new hhd, after I checked the connections of the old hard drive and everything else on the PC I received my new hard drive and reinstalled it replacing the old one. This has proven to be ineffective though because upon reinstalling windows ten it freezes during the install process, but remains completely fine in the bios screen and in the windows ten install menus.

Okay so I did get windows ten installed using a different method which seemed to work fine, and I ran the scan you asked me to run in cmd and here are the results, and it does say there are corrupted files

Is this htread still viewable? Or do I need to make a new one.
