Best way to Back Up Windows 10 and all my other apps?

Hi you guys… I have to ship my Laptop to HP for a repair the battery latches and I want to back up my Hard Drive in case anything happens in shipment… Windows 10 and apps and my other applications. Note: I have a passport 1GB portable Hard Drive.

What is the best way to do this?

I have heard that by creating a “system image” it backs up “everything”… is that true.

On my MAC’s… I just use an app like “Carbon Copy Clonner” to do this and then just copy one HD to another.

Again… What is the best way to do this?

can’t vouch for Macs, but on Windows get yourself Macrium Reflect Free Edition for your system image needs.
you can use it to either clone your drive to another drive or take a snapshot of your drive and save it as an image somewhere.
and it can do the imaging as full or incremental backups.
I’ve been using it for around 5 years now, even had to rely on it 3 time to recover my systems and can fully recommend it.
