letter "m" stops working after a few minutes after restart

my letter “m” stopped working and im sure i dont have a faulty keyboard because when i restart my pc, it starts working again, but then a minute later it stops working. my pc is pretty new as ive had it for probably a month at max. i tried a keyboard test online to see if it was my keyboard messing up but when i pressed “m” it was being registered but it wasn’t being shown on the screen. any ideas?

the only programs i installed were a few free gift programs i got for buying the pc, steam, fortnite, geforce experience and euro truck simulator 2. i only noticed the problem a week after i installed the applications so i dont think its any of them.

Hello

You can use your system restore and go back to the time before you installed that software. From there you can see if the (m ) key will work then. You may want to create a restore point,if you intend to keep some of those app’s.

I would removed the bloatware (those free gift programs) that came with the PC.
if you only noticed the problem after you installed something then I do think there would be a correlation there.
and as a long shot, try using another keyboard. that’ll either proof it is your current one or the PC itself.

I would follow vger and Bruce’s advice. It’s quite possible a recent software addition is causing this issue. It wouldn’t be a hardware issue because you say it works upon reboot albeit for a minute
