why is my pc running slow

[HEADING=1]Here’s the specs
Processor: Intel Core i5-4690k cpu @ 3.5 GHz
Installed RAM: 8 GB
GPU:windforce GTX 960
Windows 10
1 terabyte Hard Drive[/HEADING]
My system falls well within the recommended system requirements for most games but when I run any game I get roughly 10-40 fps, on low settings. My computer started running slow a few months ago. I also have completely reset it since then a couple times to no success as it is still running like a turtle : / any suggestions are greatly appreciated thanks in advance !

We can assist you with the reported issue. First we will need a bit more information.

Please download MiniToolBox and save it to your desktop. Run the program by right clicking on it and selecting Run as administrator. When the program opens select the following boxes:

Flush DNS
Report IE Proxy Settings
Reset IE Proxy Settings
Report FF Proxy Settings
Reset FF Proxy Settings
List content of Hosts
List IP Configuration
List Winsock Entries
List last 10 Event Viewer Errors
List Installed Programs
List Devices
List Users, Partitions and Memory size
