    Desktop USBs not working

    Hey,

Not sure if this goes here or somewhere else.
Got a Lenovo H330 and on startup I can enter BIOS and do what I need to. Problem I have it when I get to the Windows login page the keyboard and USBs don’t work. I’ve tried other keyboards and mouse’s. The pc did start up asking if I wanted to start up repair and I wasn’t able to select it due to the usb items not working.

I don’t know what I can do. I’ve cleared CMOS.

Have you hooked up the keyboard and mouse to USB 2 ports? (Black)

Try and re seat your hardware.

On occasions, I have tried a different Keyboard and Mouse. That has also worked for me.

            I’ve tried 3 different keyboards.
I’m confused as I can use BIOS and that’s it.

Do you have your windows disk? If not burn one on another machine and see if you are to do anything from within it. If re seating does not help.

I’m finally able to use a keyboard in the setup. I’m going to attempt a repair keeping personal files intact.

It says there was a problem resetting the pc.
I think I’m gonna have to put the HDD as a secondary on my other pc and try and save what I need.

Are you sure you are booting to the right partition?
Set your Bios to default, and set correct boot order.
You can get those errors, trying to boot to a non OS partition.

I booted from my usb which has windows 10 on.
Then went to reset the pc and still the same message. It sees that I have windows 10 from choosing the target os.

Try the startup repair three times in a row and then run Chkdsk /r from the command prompt in startup repair options

I have attempted a start up repair three times and it seems successful as it restarts and loads the windows login screen again. The USBs still don’t work and I cannot do anything from the welcome screen. I have attempted to run chkdsk /f but the drive is write protected so won’t let me go any further.

It now saying startup repair cannot be complete.
It’s given me a log file but how I open it through recovery?
