    How big is Windows 10?

    Hi,
I am planning to get an SSD, to move my OS onto. I was wondering how big the Windows 10 OS actually is, so that I can get the correct SSD.
    My PC’s specs: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/C...nJwF6bgDAk45Ep
    Thanks.

    Hard disk space: 16GB for a 32-bit OS; 20GB for 64-bit OS

I have 64-bit, but do I need more than 20GB, just for something else?

This is the space that windows 10 will need to run efficiently. I’d suggest at least a 200 gig SSD for having a few games as well. Choice is yours based on your needs; and how many games you want to install.

All of my PCs have more than one drive. I use a 30 or 32GB SSD for the boot drive. For the PCs that have at least three drives, I also use a separate SSD for the user profiles.

It is possible, and easy, to move the user profiles (the entire Users folder) to a drive other than the boot drive. You could use Google and ask Kari about that.

I know that this is not an answer to your specific question, but I chimed in because of the fact that there is little to no difference in the cost of a 32GB SSD and any SSD smaller than 32GB. Any size under 120GB is like β€˜no man’s land’. Why bother?

Currently, drives in the 200GB to 256GB range are the sweet spot price-wise, so I wholly concur with Malnutrtion for a system with a single drive. But a careful shopper can have a 32GB SSD and 1TB HDD for under $80.
