Hello I accidentally changed the refresh rate through the amd app and now I can’t get into windows due to a blank screen with a popup that says not in optimum mode. Is there any way that I can undo this.

Hi Hooeylewis and welcome to PCHF

What monitor do you have? I’m assuming you can’t see anything on it correct?

It’s an older Samsung lcd. I just get a monitor pop up that says not optimum mode.

        Maybe this’ll help you

windows 8 - Set my refresh rate too high by accident with the AMD Catalyst taskbar icon. Can't see what I'm doing - Super User

Basically you reboot into Safe Mode and manually change the refresh rate again.

To reboot to Safe Mode in W10, you can hold Shift while clicking Restart in the Start Menu. Click the Power icon and hold Shift and click Restart.

Is there a way to do that if the screen is blank? Will I have to click around and hope I hit it?
