Computer locked after upgrade

I recently upgraded my Windows 8.1 laptop to windows 10. and now being locked out by the login password. I tried the same password as i set on windows 8 but it didn’t work. Anyone has such an issue with windows 10?

On Win 8 did you have/sign in with a local account or MS? If local account then it may be asking for a MS account details.
To rule out a keyboard problem you could try the onscreen keyboard on login.

It is a local account. I tried caps lock on, and it still doesn’t work. thanks

It’s possible MS have changed your log in to your account details if you have a Microsoft account or the keyboard is faulty, try the onscreen keyboard, on the log in page there should be an accessibility icon to turn it on.

Yes, got it fixed yesterday after trying a few programs (NT Passwd, UUkeys and Ophcrack).
