Firefox wont open

I have Ubuntu Mate on a USB to try every time i try open Firefox, i just get spinning wheel like its trying to open then goes back to mouse arrow then quits but never opens the page Firefox. I even formatted my USB and i made another copy of Ubuntu mate it still does the same thing never open,s Firefox.
I added another browser Google Chrome it opens every time, everything else opens fine except Firefox ,my browser choice.

sounds like the Firefox you are using isn’t compatible with Ubuntu Mate.
I’ve only tried Ubuntu LTS and ElementryOS distros and Firefox work on both of those.
any reason you are using Mate over another of the other numerous distros?

I reformated my USB and went to ISO on another site besides Distrowatch and Firefox opens fine now in Ubuntu Mate.
