Some of my number keys stop working

Hello, i’m having the problem lately that sometimes 5 of my number keys stop working. The keys 5 6 7 8 and 9 are the ones affected. It started out of nowhere, they randomly stop working and after a while start working again and so on. Usually when i restart the computer it goes away but not always. It is weird that they work sometimes and then stop working without doing anything. I thought that there may just be some dirt under the key so i removed it and tried to clean it, but nothing there and even when i click just the rubber part under the key nothing happens. Does anybody know what the problem could be? I thought that since the computer is a bit old they maybe be broken but then i don’t understand how they can work again after a while. And i discovered that if they are not functioning, when i press all of them together they start working again

I have an MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012)

Do you notice if you have to start pushing them header of if there is any different felling to them that any of the other keys?

Have you tried cleaning the keyboard?
You can use compressed air following the instructions on the can or turn the keyboard upside down and gently rub your hands over the keys a few times.

When the keypad goes off does the numeric keys above the letter go out as well?

Are you sure that you are not hitting the number lock key?

Hi, no that’s the weird thing about it. One moment they work and the second after they stop workin. I can press as hard is I want it doesn’t change anything. Then maybe after a while they work again and then stop working. I noticed that sometimes they start working when i press all of them together but not al the time. I tried to clean them but there was nothing to clean,

Here are a few thinks you can do. From the sounds of it the keyboard is starting to fail.

See if using a USB keyboard correct that
        Replace the keyboard
        Get a USB number pad
