When you plug a usb flash drive in it normally shows the drive on the desktop. Double click on it and it will display the contents.

If you double click the usb drive in your picture it should also open it.

Please don’t quote previous posts, it is unnecessary.

              Several ways to do this..

Let’s try this, do you have an icon on your desktop called β€œcomputer”???

Or if you click on Menu do you have a listing named β€œPlaces” under all applications?

Do you want to run linux live from a USB

Or do you want to install linux?

And what version of Linux do you wish to use?

If you wish to try the latest Mint read this, it will tell you how to both run it as live usb, and install it if you want.

I found the problem by accident. My UEFI in bios boot order has to be disabled. Now it reads my USB fine. I didnt no UEFI has to be disabled. Still learning. Thank,s for all your help on this.
                            Its now solved. Thank,s Chuck
