    newbie on ( Linux )

I have ( Linux Mint 17.3 ISO on a USB ) my main OS is Windows 10, sometimes i do use Linux on my USB though. Being the newbie, i have this question, its about ( Linux ) some how on the top bar where you click the ( star to save ) and it goes to ( unasorted bookmarks ) i clicked something and the star and bookmark icon is now gone, what do i do to get these icons back ? Thanks Chuck

Does the bookmark come up missing too or just the icon for it? Have you used Firefox on Windows?

Some times if you use the bookmark it will refresh/re add the icon.

The star and icon beside it, are gone. I can reformat my USB again but its kinda a pain to start over, i will lose all i saved. I have used many distro,s of Linux, but to me Linux Mint 17.3 is easiest for me to use. Iam a newbie using Linux, but i will learn it. I learn something new each time. I tried rebooting ( nothing happened ) my search engine is ( DuckDuckGo ) Thanks Chuck

With the Firefox open there are the 3 bars on the top Click that.
Look at the bottom and select Customize
When the next Window comes up see if it is there.
If it is just Drag and Drop it where you want it.

If not there then we can do a reset of the Browser. Just follow the instruction in this Recourse.
        Reset Firefox to default settings

Once that is complete will assist in changing the Search Engine.
