Lenovo has gone big on gaming at IFA 2015 by introducing a slew of beefy gaming machines.
First up, the Median Erazer (a “bad boy” according to Lenovo’s PC Gaming Marketing guru Dhilip Bhatia) is a gaming laptop that sports a gamer-friendly angular design. It’s powered by Intel’s sixth-generation Skylake processors and can be quipped with discrete graphics in the form of Nvidia’s 980M mobile GPU.
It appeared alongside the Ideacentre Y900, a gaming desktop that can be configured with up to an Intel Skylake Quad Core i7 processor along with discrete Nvidia or AMD graphics for graphical grunt.
The Y900’s chassis is big enough to fit a full ATX motherboard and supports power supplies up to 1000W. Lenovo has designed it with upgrdabalilty in mind by including a lever that opens up a side panel for swapping out components.
Other features include an internal cable routing system that keeps cabling tucked away. There’s also a cooling system along with two dust filters to increase reliability of 120mm and 140mm fans to ensure the PC runs cool under full load.
Lenovo has also launched the Ideapad Y700, a gaming laptop that comes with Intel or AMD processors and discrete graphics. The 15-inch laptop features a backlit keyboard, built-in Intel RealSense 3D camera, JBL speakers and a multi-function UHD display
Lenovo’s new products have been launched alongside five PC gaming peripherals: the Y Gaming Surround Sound Headset featuring 7.1 virtual surround sound, Lenovo Y Gaming Mouse, Y Mechanical Gaming Precision Mouse, Y Gaming Active Backpack and Y Gaming Mouse Mat.
