Ok, click Start, type Add. CLick on Add remove Programs. Find Office, Outlook or Microsoft 365 in the list. See the 3 dots on the right?
Click those dots. Choose modify. Perform an online repair.

Report back results.

OK, did that online repair. No difference. Outlook sill does not look for new mail. Any other suggestions ?? Mike

Are you seeing any error messages?

Open an elevated Powershell. Click Start, type powershell, open as Administrator.

In the Windows copy/paste the following and hit Enter

Get-MpThreatDetection | Where-Object { $_.Resources -like “OUTLOOK.EXE” } | Select-Object ThreatName, Action, Resources | Out-File “$env:USERPROFILE\Desktop\DefenderLogs.txt”; notepad.exe “$env:USERPROFILE\Desktop\DefenderLogs.txt”

Hopefully it will be blank, if not, share what it says.

No, I am not seeing any error message. I did as noted above, but got a message that said. “The system could not find the path specified”

Would it be worth deleting the current profile and re-installing.
I would backup emails first.

No, that would not be worth the effert. It is not that big a deal. I just need to click on any other folder, and then click on the Inbox. Then all my emails come in. Thanks to everyone who made suggestions. You can close this thread. Mike
