    Installation



    1. Visit the official AOMEI Backupper page:

      https://www.ubackup.com/free-backup-software.html

    2. Download and install AOMEI Backupper Standard.

    3. Launch the application from the Start Menu or desktop shortcut.



    Usage



    1. Open AOMEI Backupper Standard and navigate to the Backup tab.

    2. Select a backup type:

      System Backup – Protects your Windows installation.

      Disk Backup – Clones an entire drive or SSD.

      File Backup – Saves specific files or folders.

    3. Choose a destination (local drive, NAS, or external device).

    4. Click Start Backup to begin. Optionally schedule recurring backups for automation.



    Creating Bootable Media


    AOMEI Backupper includes a WinPE-based media creation tool, allowing you to restore backups even when Windows cannot boot.



    1. Navigate to Tools → Create Bootable Media.

    2. Select Windows PE as the environment type.

    3. Choose USB Boot Device or ISO File output.

    4. Click Next to generate the recovery environment.



    Notes



    • Free for home and personal use; commercial users should upgrade to AOMEI Backupper Professional or Technician Edition.

    • Supports all major Windows file systems including NTFS, FAT32, and exFAT.

    • Backups can be encrypted and compressed for efficiency and security.

    • WinPE recovery media enables full offline restoration of system or disk images.
