I have Linux Mint on a USB not installed. My operating system is Windows 10. This morning i went to boot it up, i had left the Linux USB in by accident, i wanted Windows 10 so i did a hard kill holding the power button in, which i shouldnt have. When i go to bootup into Window 10 now it gives me this error message, ( no bootable device ) it says shut computer down, reboot.
I did that but it wont boot to Windows 10 at all. I can stick the USB in and bootup to Linux ok.
Thank,s Chuck

Hello Chuck

What is your boot order? (Boot to usb or boot to HDD)

I set my boot order to USB-CD Rom long ago, why it even has CD Rom i have no clue at all. This laptop doesnt have a CD Rom. I changed my bootup order to HDD, still wont boot to Windows 10 i get same error.
What are these screenhots?
Thank,s Chuck

Have you tried the REPAIR option for windows 10?
All manufacturers have it.

On boot time press the appropriate key for your Notebook to initiate the Recovery process, and select Repair.

I went through the manual it doesnt tell which or what keys to press. I tried them all. This Acer laptop i bought at WalMart about 4 years ago it originally came with Windows 8 then i got 8.1 update then one day i was booting up it was downloading updates along with Windows 10. I would like to bootup in Windows 10 to get some things. But if i cant its no big deal, I like Linux better anyways. Iam a newbie with Linux Mint though. Thank,s Chuck

If this does not work, you can always try booting the Notebook from a W10 setup USB and select Repair.

BTW: I also have Mint -Cinnamon and Mate- on my 2 Notebooks, it is still a bit heavy for my Raspberry Pi though...

This above doesnt work, iam stumped. Most You Tube Video,s say insert disk. I have no CD/DVD slot on this laptop, i thought maybe the hard disk was going bad. I did checking around on You Tube how to check the disk. This screenshot might help. It seems my disk is ok. Thank,s Chuck

As I stated before, you can always create a USB (see here how)

Iam a newbie on this Linux Mint. My Linux USB works fine, its not installed.
Can i download the Windows 10 ISO when i only have Linux Mint? If so how exactly do i do this?
I have a spare 8 GB USB allthough it needs to be formated.
Thank,s Chuck
