Hi peeps I consider myself a pretty good IT guy but I'm stumped with this latest issue.
My PC is old but still for the most part runs what it needs to but I have been having an issue with windows and these little micro freezes.
For example, I usually listen to Spotify or youtube when gaming, and I simply alt-tab out and swap my tracks. But as of today when im doing anything
the windows I'm trying to navigate are almost frozen can't click on anything and when the mouse is hovering over buttons they don't light up to be clicked whether its in a browser or third-party app I can still freely alt-tab between apps but clicking does nothing can't even click on tabs in any browser I have swapped out my mouse and keyboard issue remains. Reset windows back to factory it's still there. PC is healthy not overheating plenty of free ram and hard drives are testing fine any help would be appreciated thank you and have a good weekend.

Can you post the brand and model name or number of the power supply (PSU).

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

One of the most important things that we need to know + most often the cause or at least involved in behaviour such as this, any chance that you can enlighten us as to how good, bad and/or old the PSU is.

Issues we can see in Speccy;

Storage
111GB INTEL SSDSC2CW120A3 (SATA (SSD))

The SSD is too small for Windows and needs to be at least 250GB.

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Computer type: Desktop
Installation Date: 12/18/2021 3:15:20 PM

Windows is a recent install but there is no evidence of any system drivers having been installed, you are perhaps a couple of months away from the SSD being too full for Windows to be able to install any updates to.

Once Windows has been clean installed you must then install first the chipset drivers, then the storage/SATA drivers and third the graphics drivers, the drivers can either come from a disk provided by the motherboard manufacturer or downloaded from the site and saved to a flash drive etc, this is a must and Windows should not be allowed to check for updates before it has been done as more often than not Windows installs the wrong drivers or in the incorrect order and this can cause all sorts of problems.

Power Profile
Active power scheme: High performance

Change the Windows Power Plan to Balanced, Ultra and High Performance are a form of overclocking that is known to cause stability and overheating issues, the setting should only be used for gaming type notebooks that have a discrete GPU that needs the extra power.

Physical Memory
Memory Usage: 41 %

There is high memory use for a computer that is not under any load, couple of possible causes but the most likely three are the ridiculous High Performance Power Plan setting, a weak PSU, a combination of both of the forementioned.
