Hello, running Win7 and when I right click on C: in file manager, it responds with a small box saying" DESKTOP (at the top) The properties of this item are not available"
I do this to check C: for space, but this error has been coming up for a while and can't connect it to any program installed or other wise.
I've no virus or other problems since I use several testers to verify.

Yes I ran sfc scannow and rebooted but still not fixed, I did remove some programs for disk space, but can't remember what it was that was removed, going to try safe mode and see if that helps, I appreciate the help

Also, check to see if the issue persist in another account on the computer. If there is no issue on the second account, then perhaps this tool will be of service.

see if you have any left over folders from the removal
C:\Users\{insert your name}\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
