Long story short, everytime I attempt to instal Win 7 and even after installing Win 7,mouse doesnt work.
I got new computer,X370 ASRock Taichi + Ryzen 3 1200 + Quadro P620 GPU.At first I installed Win 10,I split my SSD into two equal halves.I planned to put Win 10 on one half and Win 7 to other half and have a choice which OS I want to boot when starting the computer.
The Win 10 installation went smoothly, mouse worked from the beginning, didnt need to install anything. Then I tried to install Win 7 and I experienced multiple problems.I downloaded Win 7 ISO from Microsoft site and then downloaded the official tool to either put it on DVD or USB,I too got it from Microsoft site,I put it on USB.
So I stick my USB with Win 7 inside ready to be installed and start the PC,I press F11 and make it boot from the USB.When the first Win 7 installation window opens, the mouse stops working. This X370 does not have updated bios, its like it came from factory, but even in BIOS,this modern board works with my mouse instantly, didnt need to install any mouse drivers,it just worked right away.
I tried two mouses I have, none of them work, they are both USB types.Since I was prevented from installing the Win 7 with the boot from USB technique,I decide to just open Win 10 normally and just install from there. This time mouse worked as I clicked through the installation windows, but another problem surfaced.Remember how I split my SSD in two halves and planned to have dual OS PC? It could not find the second empty half that I put aside for the Win 7.
Being impatient and irritated,I said to myself "funk it" and decided to to just install it on the visible primary SSD place where I already had Windows 10.Installation went fine but when the Win 7 first turned on,my mouse was yet again unresposive. The little red LED on the bottom never turns on,I tried both of my mouse, none of them works.I dont know what to do,please help me get my mouse working and also install Win 10 so I have the dual boot.
Also, why does the mouse stop working the first moment I attempt to install Win 7 when clearly the motherboard works with it instantly without any drivers or bios updates right from the box?
