I just purchased a new power bank. It has two outputs one is rated as 5V and 1.0A and the other is 5V and 2.1A. I have a ZTE Avid Trio, I was wondering if I would damage my phone if I used the 5V, 2.1A connection for charging it? I am hoping using this output will make my phone charge faster. The power bank is 20000mAh 72Wh. I don't know what I did with the original charger I've been using for my phone, I lost the plug but still have the usb cable. The charger Ive been using is only rated at 0.7A. I looked on Amazon at other 20000mAh banks and most of them are actually rated at 5A or over.

Any updates for us?
Oops, sorry about that. My phone didn't blow up, LOL. And actually I decided to just get a new phone, My old one was a ZTE Avid Trio, I got it free when I when I joined my service, it was decent until I started adding apps and what not, but I was having problems with it. First of all the most annoying thing was every two or three weeks half of my apps would disappear from my home screens, I'm assuming this was because I had alot of them on my sd card since the phone only had 4 GBs of internal storage, and I had about 10 GBs of apps. Also it only had 1 GB or RAM, so it was pretty slow, it would take a while for apps to load. I decided to go with the ZTE ZMAX Pro, it has 32 GBs of internal storage, 2 GBs or RAM, and a nice 6 inch HD screen. I installed all the apps that I had on my old phone and this phone is working AWESOME, I love it. It is so much faster then my old one. And it has the USB Type C connector so it charges faster too, and transferring files between my phone and PC is pretty fast, and I'm not having a problem with the phone disconnecting when I transfer large files between it and my PC. I was able to transfer my my music folder which is around 16 GBs from my PC to my phone in one go, with my old phone I had to select a couple of the folders from the music folder and then transfer them, and then select a couple more and transfer them, because if I tried just moving the whole music file at once the phone would disconnect during the transfer. So long story short, I am VERY happy with this phone right now. We'll see how I feel about it in a couple of months, I'm sure I'll still be on this forum asking questions about it though.
