My Dell 7010 suddenly stopped connecting to my motel wifi. The antenna w network card USB connected seemed at fault so I got another one. Yet the new one also failed to connect. Here's where it gets interesting.... If I use my phone by accessing WiFi then USB theter with the same phone it connects. Now this is a workaround so I am curious why my antenna will not enable me to connect with WiFi but my phone connection will? Please advise

You can also ask the motel person at the desk to reboot the router, I used to work on the road a lot and this is a common issue. You may be to far from the WiFi spot, or too many people are connected.

One work around I used to use, is to buy a WiFi booster, and then set a static ip.

A couple boosters that I used.

And set a static Ip with this tool.

Simple static ip
