Hey there,
I wasn't sure where exactly to post this problem but I figured this should do it.
So the thing is, I've recently changed my internet provider and now I have a way better connection than I had before. However apparently as some sort of a side effect I've noticed this rather odd thing. All of the VOIP software that I'm using at the moment (Teamspeak and Discord) appear to have a very large incoming packet loss, it's happening on all the servers that I've tried and I haven't been able to come up with a solution. It's only a large incoming packet loss (about 40%, but it changes, never goes lower than cca. 20% though), while outcoming packet loss is nice and stable (around 0,15%). As a result I can't really hear anyone or rather I only hear bits of what they're saying and it's overall very laggy but they can hear me just fine. I believe this shouldn't be because of my internet speed as my download is pretty good (about 40Mb/s), my upload is slightly slower (about 5Mb/s) but as far as I know that shouldn't affect the incoming packets in any way.

I have a CMD open at all times with a "ping 8.8.8.8 -t" running at all times so I can monitor how is my connection doing and there is no visible drop in the response time that would indicate that the connection can't handle it.

Now, I believe this to be a problem somewhere within my network (my router blocking the packets maybe? idk) and think it's very unlikely that it is a problem with the software itself so please refrain from ideas like reinstalling it, I've already tried that and without any success.

So yeah, I'd be very thankful for any possible solutions as I don't really know what to try anymore. Thanks in advance for any responses.

It's a lot better now, Discord is working almost completely fine and the Teamspeak packet loss has gone down by 20% so its bearable.
Thanks a lot for the help, I really appreciate it.
