Hello,
I have a lenovo legion 5 laptop

When I'm plugging an ethernet cable into the laptop, all my USB stop working, the built-it keyboard, if a video playing also the video stop playing.

I've tried to go through a lot of youtube tutorials and nothing worked for me.

What can I do to solve it?

Sounds like a bad cat 5/6 cable. Do you have another to test with? Perhaps this one may be damaged and is causing a short.

Let’s have a look at your settings, if the cable is not to blame.

Please download MiniToolBox and save it to your desktop.
Run the program by right clicking on it and selecting Run as administrator.
When the program opens check mark Select All Then hit GO
Please post the log in your next reply. Attach or copy and paste, whatever is easier for you.

Speccy Scan.

  • Please go here and download Speccy.
  • Install and run the program.
  • Upon Completion:
  • Hit File
  • Publish Snap Shot
  • A link will appear, post that link.

Minitoolbox log?
Did you try a new ethernet cable? Different port on the router?

The Minitoolbox log didn't work for me

I've tried to connect different cables in different houses.

A strange consistency that I noticed.
It only happens when I play a video (on YouTube for example).

Here is the minitoolbox, I zipped it up for you.

Temporary stop windows from installing driver updates.
Download DDU follow all directions to remove the Nvidia drivers.
To boot into safe mode. Click ME for instructions.
Re-install Nvidia drivers with this tool, NVCleaninstall. Uncheck everything except the drivers.
