Hi,

I want to upgrade my PC hardware and still use Windows XP as the operating system

but as I understand it not all fast modern CPUs allow the use of XP.

can anyone suggest the best modern Mother Board - CPU - hard drive -DVD combination that will allow me to do this.

Regards

DGB

Modern hardware does not have drivers for XP and depending on what service pack your XP Pro is it may not even have its own SATA drivers.

XP Does not even have any support for SSD drives or modern USB posts.

Not only finding drives for the system will be impossible to finding firmware.

Since you are looking into getting new hardware might as will spend the money and get Windows 10 or 11.

The only other option is to install Linux onto the system and move on.
