I have a 55" TV that i'm using as a monitor and it seems to be radiating a lot of heat. It's summer and my house only has two big window air conditioners running but I've noticed my room is always the warmest in the house. I'm 100% sure it's becuase my computer and TV. My question is, will turning off the backlight on my TV reduce the amount of heat it is putting off. I have the backlight setting set to 100%. I turned the backlight off and didn't really even notice any difference on my screen, brightness wise, what i did notice though is that when scrolling webpages and when moving the mouse I am getting visible trails, almost like reducing the backlight reduced the refresh rate. Thats not a huge problem, although a little annoying if it actualy helps ruduce the temp in my room then I'm fine with it.
