Hello, I have just bought AVG Ultimate from their partner avast-tn.com that contains AVG TuneUp, the optmization and performance software for Windows. Does somebody know how to configure it to get better performance on a pc gaming ?

As with any cleaning program would stay away form. They have been known to remove files, folders, registry entries that they system may need and bring it to a screeching halt.

See if this helps.

also hate to be the bearer of bad news - not only is AVG no longer the great little program it was, but their tune-up software was never good.

and since their by-out by Avast, the whole program, while better than no protection, doesn't deliver enough positives to counter act the negatives.

especially since the Windows free, in-built Defender security program ranks higher than most of the paid-for security suites.
and add the free CCleaner tune-up, maintenance program, or even the inbuilt cleanmgr program or Storage Sense in Win10 and there is no need to pay for anything 3rd party.

Thank you for your response. I will give some of those feedbacks to their partner avast-tn.com but my problem still not solved. As I spend money on tuneUp i would at least yo use it to perform a pc gaming optimization. Your Help is welcomed.

I would have thought the default settings should be sufficient.
but, as said, it's crap and I haven't use it.
these tune-up programs can be over zealous and cause more harm than help, so use due-diligence and do your research first.
investigate what each setting changes and why, let Google be your friend. :)
obviously check out any inbuilt help documentation and the AVG website for supporting material.

Three posts and each one you throw in the same name, smells spammy to me

If people want documented proof of the sort of tricks Avast are capable of read this

since no-one here uses AVG tuneup, plus the product and company have fallen from grace, and the fact you are going to be asking them for help anyway, I'll close this for now.

if you hear back from them, in itself, that will be a small miracle, feel free to start a new post with your findings as it may help others in the future.

all the best. :)
