Hi I have problem with my taskbar on my notebook with win 11 OS. I have tried all advices to fix it from this website https://www.partitionwizard.com/partitionmagic/windows-10-taskbar-flickering.html.
But none of those things worked. I started having this problem since 6/2023 I updated my windows . I also tried to reinstall it but problem still occured. I don't know what else might help me bcse I don't wanna lose all of my files when factory reset will be needed. I don't know what exaclty might be causing this problem.

This issue is getting worse and worse now this glitch is even nearly to half of my screen (as in picture). I doubt it is mechanical damage of screen bcse it is intact. Thanks for answers and advices.

Connect the notebook up to an external screen, if the display on that is ok you have a bad video cable or screen or worse case scenario both are bad.

Let us know the outcome of the test.

But what is strange when I run some programs it seems it is perfeclty fine (example image Dark Souls) as you can see. Only realy small flicker at the time.

We didn't really need any pics only for you to let us know if the problem was the same on the external display.

Not sure what we are meant to be seeing in your first picture, it looks ok but we cannot see the same display quality as you.

Is the second picture your notebook screen or an external screen.

Can I ask that you do not quote every reply as we have to read the full post to make sure nothing gets missed,, thanks.

I am sorry for quoting every reply.First picture is when I tried to plug my notebook into my tv and it seemed ok to me without flickering. Second picture is from my notebook original screen. It seems it works fine with some programs but only flicker in OS or some other programs and browser.

when I tried to plug my notebook into my tv and it seemed ok to me without flickering.

That normally rules a software issue out as being the cause, if for example it was a driver issue the same thing would be replicated on the external screen.

What is the exact model name or number of the notebook.

What games or programmes does this mainly happen with.

When you next post, do not click on the Reply tab first, enter any info into the dialogue input box and when you are done just click on Post Reply like you have been doing, this will avoid you quoting every reply.

Model number of my notebook is ASUS TUF Gaming F15 FX506LI_FX506LI .

The issue happens in almost all programs that I tested including web browser but it seems that problem doesn't occure with Dark souls it only show one small transparent stripe but only sometimes.

Checked your specs and they are more than capable of gaming + it happening in browsers etc is real strange, is the notebook still in warranty.

It still comes down to the external display being ok as it rules out software/drivers and the core components such as the MB, CPU, GPU, RAM and power supply, not in the clear is the video cable and/or the screen.

I don't know if my notebook is still in warranty but it is possible it is not. Is there something I can do for fixing this issue by myself or should I take my notebook to repair centre?

You need to find out because checking/replacing the video cable and/or screen are major tasks and being honest they are both jobs best left to someone that has both experience and insurance cover, the latter in case they damage your computer in the process.

You mention having tried them all but the problem remained, one of the suggestions at the link was to try a clean boot which did not help but before heading off to find a tech try starting the notebook in Safe Mode.

Click on the ‘Start’ Menu
Click on the ‘Power’ button in the bottom right of the menu
Hold down the ‘Shift’ key
While holding down ‘Shift’, click on ‘Restart
Wait for the reboot

Is the problem still present.

Check for and hope that you are still covered by a warranty for the notebook, big money repair involved if you cannot do it yourself.

looks like those units came out around the end of 2020.
so it'll be out of standard warranty, but any chance you took out extended warranty?

for a general guide, I had a laptop screen replaced many years ago (about 8).
cost was $180 for the LCD panel and $180 for the labour. (Oz dollars)
