looks like they sold it to you without an Operating system (like Windows) installed.
you will have to buy one for it or use a free one like Linux.

The first time i on the pc..i can go through windows..i explore the pc and also plig in my external hard drive..after some time the pc got hang..then i shut down..when i try to switch on today, i got this message..is it due to virus

Some things that we may have you do will VOID the warranty.

Can you call them there maybe some things that they can walk you through over the phone. They may have a technician on staff or one close by that you could have the system checked by.

Check to make sure that you do not have a USB drive attached it could be reading form that.

Also what beeping (pattern) and or any other sounds do you hear coming from the system?

Thanks for the advice..already take off all usb attached and still the same error..probably because of virus from my external hard disk.

Will try to call them. Previously manage to msg them and they prefer to remote the pc however i could not enter windows and it is not possible..maybe should install temporary windows to connect first than foemat it and install back all

Too bad..maybe the antivirus is not working..

What is the brand and model name or number of the computer.

What version of Windows is on the drive, 7, 8.1 or 10.

What did you mean my the last attached after you quoted my message?

that's the Product Key for Windows 7 Pro OEM Activation (OA).

try burning a Windows 10 image to a DVD or USB stick and install that on that PC.
Win 7 to 10 is still free, it'll just be a question regarding the OEM licensing - but try it and see - Microsoft won't activate it if it doesn't pass their tests.
during the Windows 10 installation process, when it asks to enter the Product Key, enter that Win7 one.

Something for you to try first, check to see if there is still a recovery partition on the HDD.

Turn on the computer and repeatedly press the F11 key and hope that the HP Recovery Manager opens, if it does , follow the on screen prompts, if not post back and let us know.
