Stuttering in game/lag but not network related problem

I'm basically stuttering/lagging often when playing online games (Cod/Csgo), I have decent specs (Nvidia 1060 Ti series, 240 Hz monitor, driver is up to date), I know the issue isn't network related because my ping/packet loss doesn't spike when the lag/stutter occurs.

I've tried a lot of things including disabling game mode & reinstalling windows but nothing seems to be working :( I play on lowest settings possible on the games I play but that doesn't seem to help either

Would really appreciate it if someone can help & happy to provide any information on my specs if that can help

Lets start here so others can assist.

In the video I see no lag and or stuttering

Can you post the brand and model name or number of the power supply (PSU).

This will give us the information as to what you computer is made of.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Speecy does not include the power supply information post the make and model

Internet wired and or wireless?

Something that just started or has been since you had the system and or game.

Sorry I didn't choose the best video, but the lag/stuttering in the video happens @ 0:10 3:42 & 4:35

PSU is 400W 80+


I'm using a wired connection with good internet speed & optic fibre

It's probably been happening for around 3-4 months

We can see at least one other issue going on but until you get yourself an appropriate PSU the other issue is secondary.

MSI recommend a minimum of a 450W PSU for the card that you have, specs are here

For your spec of build and the GPU in particular nothing less than a Gold efficiency rated PSU should be used, no bad thing as the price of a Bronze from a good brand cost very little less and they only have a max of a three year warranty.

Ok thanks what was the other issue?

I've had the same PSU since I bought the PC though so I don't see why it would start causing issues only 3-4 months ago I've had this pc for around a year and a half
 
Sorry but until you have the appropriate PSU I will not be providing any information that will only aggravate the present issue/s and possibly even lead to the present PSU going bang and taking the rest of the hardware with it.

You don`t even mention a brand name of the present PSU but it being only 80+ means that it should never have been used in a computer that has an add on GPU present, regarding the fact that the PSU is less powerful than what MSI recommend for their card, you will have to take that up with them I'm afraid.

Golden rule of PSUs is don`t skimp on the very thing that you are expecting to support all your rather expensive hardware, you will at some point see the exact same thing as what is shown in the video here
