Hello, I just bought a new Asus P1501JA laptop and after installing linux mint with some programs my ssd is not shown as boot option and isn't detected from my linux live usb. In the bios i can see my sdd looking at ssd nvme configuration or from intel rst setting but i can't find a way to boot from it and i'm out of ideas. Thank you

do you have the latest Mint 21 version?
all updates applied?

what make/model NVMe drive is it?

while I'm no Linux expert by any stretch of the imagination, my guess would be Mint is missing the necessary driver.

I had the last version on the ssd and in the live usb. The ssd is the Western Digital cl SN520 NVMe ssd. I'm also not a linux expert but the problem is that the driver is not seen as boot option, I'm not sure if drivers are involved

i had linux installed but after a bit it stopped to boot and now if i try to install it again i don't see the ssd from the live usb, i managed to install Windows but i'm getting bsod with error "whea uncorrectable error" or recovery mode every time i try to start windows

Did you wipe the drive prior to installing Windows and or Linux?
Did you turn off Secure Boot?
Did you turn on Legacy BIOS?
Which Desktop Environment?

i wiped the drive,Legacy is on, Secure Boot is off, tried with Gnome(Manjaro) and Cinnamon

Boot to a Live Linux and open a Terminal and type the following command and copy and paste the information into next post.

Linux is reading the NVMe drive.

Which live version are you using?
I just bought a new Asus P1501JA laptop
You also understand that by doing this you have just voided the warranty that came with the system.

Should something go wrong with it they will require you to put it back to a factory state before assisting you.

Doe the system boot to the USB of Windows and have you run the check disk on the NVMe?

Might want to reset the system back to and or as close to factory and contact Asus and make sure that everything is working correctly.

Could be that something might came loose during shipping worse case something is defective.
