Are you attempting to install it for the external drive or play it from the external drive?
Where did the download come form?
Re download it may be corrupt?
Maybe it would install from the primary drive?

im trying to play it from my ssd and ive downloaded it multiple time from battle net i can open it it play the lil loading screen and then at the loading screen and it just gets stuck there
Some programs do not work all that great form external drives you may want to try it from the primary drive.
OK i found this info...
Usb 3.0 will severely bottleneck an SSD. 5 gb/s (gigabits per second) equals 640 MB/s (Megabytes per second) or . 64 GB/s. Usb 3.0 will only give you 1/10th to 1/20th the possible speed of the drive.
Also supposedly this a work around..
