My friend bought this 500GB ssd from wish but when we connect it to a pc the pc freezes up and if your pc is already booted in to windows if you connect the ssd it won't show up anywhere... If I connect it before starting the pc it would just freeze on the american trends starting screen .. can anyone please help me with this im so frustrated I wonder is there are different sata cables? Please help me fix this issue.. thank you.. the ssd manufacturer is a chinese brand called Vaseky and the model is V800 500GB

From what I have seen for others that have purchased from wish you get garbage.

My honest opinion would be return the drive and get money back.

The seller removed the ad and I can't find the seller anymore ..are there any fixes I can try?

See about getting an external drive carriage and connect the drive via USB.

Try it in a different system. If it does the same thing the drive is garbage.

From the sounds of it you got a fake or shotty drive.

Btw I've already tried changing system because i have c2d system then i upgraded to i5 system in both PC's it didn't work but i read somewhere that to revive a dead ssd try powering it (withour sata ) for half and hour removing power for 5 second then powering it for half an hour more ..that method made the ssd work the red light indicating that its working turned on too and in system it was showing the ssd but it was only for 5 mins then it got back to being dead again

From the sounds of it the drive is dead. Plain and simply I would stop wasting time on it.

Lets say you get the drive to work and get stuff on it then is start this all over again now all that data on that drive is gone.

I would start the return process that I have posted in the bottom of Post # 4
