Also Advanced ID Scanner finding IP addresses that don't work. I get a security warning that prevents me from connecting. Also IP Utility tells me my device's serial number is not valid.

Thank you.

Resetting the camera to factory settings may resolve persistent connection issues. This will erase all previous configurations, so you will need to set up the device again afterward.

When I originally set up the camera, I needed help from a forum. That was a good four years ago. I've done the reset but have completely forgotten how to set up.

Thank you.

Yes, I've reset. Thank you. Now the IP Utility found the IP address. But when I assigned it, it failed. That's as far as I got.

Thank you.

  • Connect the power adapter to the camera and plug it into a power outlet.
  • Connect the camera to your network using an Ethernet cable.
  • Install the AXIS IP Utility software on your computer.
  • Use the AXIS IP Utility to find the camera on your network and assign it an IP address.
  • Access the camera's web interface by entering its IP address in a web browser.
  • Log in using the default admin credentials (username: root, password: pass).
  • Go through the initial setup wizard to configure basic settings like admin password, time zone, etc.
  • Configure network settings as needed (static IP, DHCP, etc.).

Yes, Ethernet cable. The Spectrum tech plugged it into the Wi-Fi tower thing. I'll do the Utility uninstall at half time.

I'm into the interface, but no live view.

  • To access the live view, you need to connect to the camera's web interface using a web browser.
  • The default IP address for the camera is 192.168.0.90. You may need to configure your computer's network settings to be on the same subnet to access this IP initially.
  • Once connected to the web interface, you should see options for viewing the live video stream.
  • The camera supports multiple streaming formats including Motion JPEG and MPEG-4.
  • To view the MPEG-4 stream, you may need to install the AXIS Media Control plugin for your browser.

I can get to the interface. But there's no screen. I'm afraid I'm a little lost here. I don't know where to enter the default IP camera address; I can't see where in network settings. I hear the camera moving when use tilt. But no screen.

Try different browser . There is only so much I can do from this end. Maybe install this software, the 64bit version.

If you can hear the camera moving but see no video, check the following:
in the camera's settings, look for "Video & Image" or similar options.
Ensure the video output is enabled.
Check if there are multiple video streams and try switching between them.
Try accessing the MJPEG stream directly by entering this URL in your browser:

Browser. Bingo. I had forgotten, the cam doesn't work in Google. Works in Firefox. I use it to view outdoors. Dark now. Hopefully it saved my settings.

THANK YOU!

Sweet. I’ll mark this as solved. I’ll wait 12 hours before doing so, in case you have any more questions. Thanks for letting us know...👍

And special thanks for waiting 12 hours. I was gonna ask but you've been fantastically helpful enough. Yeah, so far, I had to rotate the image 180 degrees because I use it on a flat surface, not mounted above. I saw the street lamp image was upside down thus the rotate.
