Hello there. I am new to the forum and was hoping someone could help me with a qustion I have with my Sony VAIO.
I have a Sony VAIO Model:SVF152C29M with out a HDD.
I have an opportunity to fit a HDD from a very similar model, a
Sony VAIO Model:SVF152A29M.

Can anyone tell me whether there will be any cross compatability issues with swapping this HDD over into my computer.

Any help would be appreciated

Hello

I am assuming it's the same size.... That would be a yes! don't forget to format that hdd, assuming it has the other os on it.

And quote:

How do I format a hard drive from another computer?

Plug in the drive and open Windows Explorer. Right-click the drive and choose Format from the drop-down menu. Select the file system you want, give your drive a name under “Volume label,” and make sure the Quick Format box is checked. Click Start, and the computer will reformat your drive
