U.K, North West.
Olo! (megamind for the win :P )

Not sure where this should have gone, it's not really an urgent problem.

I'm in the middle of making a signature, and I'm not sure what colour the background is on the message tile??

I used to be able to go to page source or something and rifle out the colour, (or at least that's what I think i used to do) but the knowledge has left me. Can anyone help please :)

Regards,
Allan.T

If i understand this correctly..

Highlight your sig and then go to color/the half moon, save.

Sorry, my skills at explaining are lacking. I'm making a signature for this forum.

I'm looking for the colour code of the background in these messages, is it just plain white? so would it be #000000

Hi Allan. The Hex code for (White) is FFFFFF.
The Hex code for (Black) is 000000

Aye, I got there in the end.. man.. When I was younger all this was just filled in my head, now I find myself taking notes... Think I might buy a tobacco pipe and a flat cap XD

Is my signature too big? still can't find any guidelines for it

Well,i suppose you have those permissions. IMHO it does take up a lot of space tho.

Yep..either way it's your choice, since the sigs permissions are set to those dimensions . Nice avatar btw..

According to my colour picker app the message background is Ghost White.
Hex: #FAFBFC
RGB: 250, 251, 252
CMYK: 0, 0, 0, 1
HSB: 210, 0, 98

Hi Bastet.
What software are you using to get that Hex code?
Thanks.
I am using Photoshop CC2017 and getting a different Hex code.

It's OK Bastet.:)
That foreground has a number of shades of White, I just found out.
I colour picked another area on the foreground and got HEX #FCFCFD.

Hi @DOUGIE, It's an Apple Store app 'Colour Name', it can take colours from a photo & tell you the information I posted, it also tells you which complimentary colours go with the colour you choose. I took a screen cap of the forum & choose to scan the background of the message not the op sig which is white.
I used the app to discover the correct hex for the 9th Doctor's TARDIS colour for my desktop theme.

Oi gerrof my picture :P only joking.

It's a different colour because I used plain white, my sister came round as I was halfway through the signature, so I stopped where I was and uploaded. so the code you'd be picking up is #000000 also with the overlays and lighting fixtures, there should be a very slight gradient of whites in my signature. Maybe thats where you're getting your different colours from :)

Whats worse about this whole situation, is I could've C+P'd the image of PCHF and just colour picked the background.. I need to go back to school.
