Hi.

I recently had my pc build by a company. Sometimes when i watch netflix, play video games or what so ever the sound cuts out for a few seconds and then resumes.
It almost looks like when the sound drops below a certain volume it just cuts it out completely.
Ive tried to change the audio driver from its original one to realtek but this also didnt provide the desired outcome.

I have a box connected with in the aux input or at least the input in the back with the green circle around it haha.
Im using a Asus B550 Plus motherboard

Really hope you guys will be able to help me. Im not too tech savy so if u guys need any additional information please let me know.

Hit start, type powershell, open powershell, copy and past this into the powershell prompt

Get-WmiObject Win32_PnPSignedDriver | select devicename, driverversion

Hit enter.

Looks like you got the latest driver from your MB manufacturer.

Have you tried using DDU to uninstall the Realtek driver and re-installing after using DDU?

Make sure you have a backup of your drive or at the very least a restore point before using DDU. I've used it many times without issue, but it never hurts to be prepared.

We may move to using DDU to remove the Nvidia driver and then do a clean install of the drivers only without the Nvidia HD Audio component.

NVCleaninstall is a nice tool to re-install the Nvidia driver only and nothing else. (This is what I use on all my systems.)

Ok so a small update.

Tested my headset in the rear jack - no issues.
Tested my box in the front jack - started with no issues then slowly started to have the same issues.

Tested my box in the rear jack now instead of netflix / game i used spotify. - no issues.
Tested my box in the rear jack using netflix and game - still the same issues.

Something funny going on for sure.
