Hi guys, I have custom PC specialists laptop with windows 10, Intel i7 10870H and RTX3060. When I connect external monitor via HDMI (AOC e2450) it automatically and always runs on RTX3060 GPU. I wish to use both screens with only intel UHD graphics for random tasks (WEB, MS office) and use the RTX 3060 only for demanding APPs and games. Problem is, that I am not able to choose which GPU I want to use for the external monitor. It only run on RTX3060 and then my PC for some reason decide ,when the RTX is already on, it engage the GPU with other tasks ,which normally runs on Intel UHD and at the end of the day , the laptop is twice as hot as normally and the fans keeps Running even if am not doing anything.
Please is there any option or setting to run both screens only with intel UHD for office work, but also automatically switch to RTX3060 if I decide to start demanding game?
 
on laptops, the ones I've seen anyway, the Intel GPU does the laptop screen, and the add-on card, your RTX3060, does the external graphics port.
and you have no control over that setup, the external port cannot be re-routed to get its signal from the Intel card.

oh I see...I'm asking because i have found some info on the internet, that my CPU can do up to 3 screens at a time,but that's probably only apply for taptops without dedicated GPU. I though, that it should be possible to select the GPU....hmm, kind of shame, thanks for your answer anyway.
 
That is strange as the Balanced Power Plan should not be powerful enough to support an add on GPU when it is under load, by default a computer normally reverts to using the onboard video.
