Hi all:

I know this is a well known bug of windows 10.

So far I have tried several sugestions that I found on internet.
None worked for me.

Has anyone here got a solution to this problem ??

what is your Windows 10 version and build numbers?

what happens when you click the Start button and literally start typing what you are after (forget the Search bar), what comes up?

Hi

Windows 10 home
vers. 1909 - 64 bites build 18363900

I don't understand your second question.
Can you please be more specific ??

I can't type anything on the search bar !

forget the search bar.

click the Start button (bottom left of screen) and literally start typing, let's say, the word "control" (without quotes) - what comes up?
Windows should start searching for the word control and show Control Panel as the best match.

Clicking on the start button (left click) and trying to type anything, nothing happens.
The search bar is completely "death"

what about the keyboard shortcut combo of windows key + S to bring up the search window?

failing that I would be running sfc /scannow from an elevated command prompt to check for system file corruption.
and the next straw clutch would be to upgrade the PC to Win10 v2004.

Windows+s is not working.
sfc /scannow didn't work either.

Will try to update to 2004.

Great news and thanks for letting us know that all is now well with the computer (y)
