My sd card slot on my HP laptop stopped working. When I insert any sd card, the computer makes a "ding" sound and an icon appears in the toolbar to "safely remove device" but I can't actually open up and see the contents from My Computer like I could before. Any sd cards I try through my usb thumb drive into laptop work fine so it's definitely the sd card slot. I have updated Windows 10, checked for updated drivers and have cleaned the slot. Also, none of the sd cards were locked. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
