The first issue occurred a couple weeks ago while I was gaming and the right click stopped working. It fixed itself in a few minutes. After that the mouse started acting weird, where the left click would sometimes not respond or double click even though I only click once. This would last a day and then work normally for a day only to come back again. About 4 days ago the left click started working normally again, but the right click only reacts in about 5 out of 10 clicks. Sometimes it doesn't at all for a minute.
I use a Razer Deathadder mouse. It is 4 years old, so I thought it had run its course. I opened it up to clean it to see if that was the issue. No. So I found an old office mouse to use until I get a new gaming mouse. Lo and behold, the issue is the exact same with this mouse. Right click barely works. So the issue lies elsewhere. I tried every single solution I could find on the internet:

Reinstalling the mouse driver plus the Razer software.
Power Management Setting, for both the mouse and USB hubs
System File Checker
DISM Tool
Making sure ALL my drivers are up to date
Updating Windows
Antivirus scan
Disabling third part context menu extension with ShellExView
Reverted Windows to a previous restore point

Nothing of the above fixed the issue. I am at my wits end with this. Does anyone have a clue what the issue could be? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Start here and see what you get while waiting on others to respond.

Have you tried a different mouse.

Could be worn out.

May need to be cleaned.

Does it work ok on other systems.

Does it work if used under a different use account.

Does it work under safe mode.

Like I've said above: Tried a different mouse. Same problem. Took the other mouse apart to clean it. Did not help.
Both mice work fine on a laptop.
Just tested a different account and safe mode. The problem persisted in both.

Thank you for your reply.

No problem any time.

That is with no software installed for the Razer Deathadder mouse, correct?

From where?
No, that is with the software. I used to play games on the laptop with that same mouse before I got a PC.

I downloaded the software from https://www.razer.com/synapse-3 and the drivers from https://drivers.razersupport.com/index.php?_m=downloads&_a=view&parentcategoryid=168

The second mouse I used to check if its a hardware issue is a HAMA Mirano wireless usb mouse.

I am hoping its a hardware issue, but I highly doubt it after using two different mice that both work fine on the laptop.

Thank you.

Just to confirm when tested on the other laptop was and or was not software / drivers installed?

Remove the software for the mouse and references from the Device Manager.
May need to select Show Hidde Devices under View

Reboot without the mice attached see if the onboard has same issue.

Shutdown and attach the mouse having issue and test with no software.

just to confirm - you have tried a simple USB corded mouse plugged directly into the PC's USB port while in Safe Mode that you know works on another PC?
