Hi, all. I want ask for advice about some software. I'm a consultant, at accounting organization to 50 people. I need a best solution, a program for software audit tool. I offer to discussion two variants: Total Network Inventory and TeamSupport. I found reviews and recommendations, looked for different overviews of them, visited official site of network inventory management system http://www.softinventive.com/software-audit/, where I can download this software. I want to use only license software, because illegal use software can lead to the criminal penalties.
My question: What kind of this software is better for little business? Who can share experiences?
Thanks for a replies!

Hi gerogeclike and welcome to PCHF :)

I have personally never used any of these software before. You're looking for something like QuickBooks?

I think they are looking for inventory type software that they can keep track of hardware and software that is being used at the office.

I do not think that TeamSupport is what you want it is more of a help desk.

Total Network seems to be more that you may be looking for.

Who can share experiences?
Could you clarify this a bit more if you can.

Greetings georgeclike,
What software you need or use depends on what information you wish to collect and what is available to your part of the world. As a former IT business person I wanted something that gave me a choice of information like Network Inventory, Asset Management and Deployment. Since I am retired I had to do a bit of research into what is current. I stumbled onto a program that may fill your needs. Lansweeper

You may wish to look at Open-AudIT and Paessler's PRTG.

Federation against software theft, used to do a free software audit like this. It can save a fortune. I used it, and found we were paying for more licenses than were needed.
