Hello and thank for allowing me to join. I have a rather mundane question regarding Facebook. I have some disabilities and find sites such as FB a Godsend as it keeps me "connected". The last three days all i get is "buffering" when I click on FB. I have tried everything that my limited knowledge allows but i am now at a loss what to do. I can get it on my phone and laptop.
Regards
Tessa

Hello folks :)

Can I ask what browser you are using on the computer that has the problem and if you are using the same browser and anti virus protection on the notebook that has no buffering issues.

1.Press the Windows key then type in cmd (do not press Enter)
2.In the search results that come up, right click “cmd” and run as administrator, when the screen flashes and asks for permission, accept it.
3.In the command prompt type in ipconfig /flushdns (or right click and paste it to the command prompt) then press Enter.
You should then see a dialog box saying successfully flushed resolver cache, if so you are done post back with an update.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

The last part of each URL is randomized, so only people you provide with the URL will be able to find your profile.

Sorry for the late entry. Facebook is heavily laden with scripts. Your buffering problem, as described above (IE seems fine), is consistent with problems associated with Facebook scripting issues. Some issues with Facebook can only be resolved by submitting a trouble ticket to Facebook - no amount of tweaking/cleaning on your PC will resolve most Facebook script issues. With Chrome, there are two exceptions. Launch Chrome in incognito mode OR launch Chrome with all extensions disabled.

If the buffering problem continues in Chrome under either or both adjusted startup conditions, and continues to perform well in IE, submit a report to Facebook.
Facebook personnel are not likely to interact with you. The problem will just go away.

If the buffering problem corrects itself under either adjusted startup condition, please report here.
